The two rice cookers above are two of the best that Japanese electronics manufacturers have to offer. I want to compare the Zojirushi NP-HBC10 against the Zojirushi NP-HTC10. Is one better than the other? Which is more expensive? Apart from the way the look, what are the differences? Where can I find the best price for these rice cookers? These are some of the questions that I shall address.

Just to be clear, the images above show the Zojirushi NP-HBC10 on the left, and the Zojirushi NP-HTC10 on the right. They both have a stainless steel finish the NP-HBC10 has more of a muted look while the NP-HTC10 is out there with its brown shiny stainless steel body. I think they both look good and you could theoretically make your purchasing decision based on which one you think would look best in your kitchen.

As far as price goes, the NP-HBC10 is around about $100 cheaper than its flashier cousin. But the NP-HTC range (which includes both 5.5 cup and 10 cup rice cookers) utilizes pressure cooking which Zojirushi says contributes to the perfect cooked grain of rice. Whether or not you are able to tell the difference is hard to say. A good idea is to read customer reviews on Amazon to see what people who have bought this machine think. It is one of the best rice cookers currently available.

These machines are both expensive rice cookers. However you can find the best price on Amazon. It is a good idea to compare prices from a variety of vendors. From the research I have done regarding these two machines, it is Amazon that offers the lowest price. This is why many people choose to buy a Zojirushi NP-HBC10 from them. If you are lucky enough to live near an Oriental market, there may be somewhere that sells rice cookers. There are even more expensive Zojirushi appliances available in Japan but as far as the United States and Canada are concerned these are two of the most expensive you can find.
