Zojirushi produces these two advanced Micom rice cookers. They make use of Fuzzy Logic technology. Zojirushi has patented their specific incarnation as Neuro Fuzzy®. So Neuro Fuzzy is simply the same as other brands’ Advanced Micom Fuzzy Logic rice cookers. Zojirushi are not the only company to make use of this technology. For example, if you buy a Sanyo ECJ-PX50S you get an advanced micom rice cooker with fuzzy logic technology.

On the Zojirushi website it states:

Fuzzy set theory, or fuzzy logic, originally introduced by Lotfi Zadeh in the 1960s, mimics human reasoning. Zojirushi coined the trademark Neuro Fuzzy® to designate their advanced micro computerized rice cookers. Micom means Micro Computerized. The temperature and cooking time are controlled by a micro computer chip. Neuro Fuzzy® is a registered trademark of Zojirushi.

This simply means that Fuzzy Logic technology is an improvement on standard Micom rice cookers. Both the Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 and the Zutto pictured above have Neuro Fuzzy® technology. The sequence goes: Micom > Fuzzy Logic > Induction Heating > Induction Heating with Pressure. All top quality rice cookers have the Micom computer chip and then even higher grade models feature one of the other components. So for example, the Zojirushi Zutto has Micom and Fuzzy Logic. If you choose to buy a Zojirushi NP-HBC1o you get a Micom rice cooker with Induction Heating.

Both of the models featured above, the Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 and the Zutto are 5 1/2 cup rice cookers. So they are able to prepare rice for up to ten people. This makes them great sized appliances for family cooking. The NS-ZCC10 has a wider range of settings for cooking rice. However the Zutto, whose model number is NS-DAC10, is actually a bit more expensive. The Zutto was designed by a Japanese interior designer and is part of a range of products that are all very similar in design including a coffee maker, toaster and hot water dispenser. The emphasis is on styling. However as far as I am concerned, I do not actually like the look of this machine too much. I much prefer my rice cooker to look like a rice cooker than a space age device. That said, for some people, the Zutto will surely be the best rice cooker.

Both these machines have a spherical cooking bowl which helps to heat the rice evenly. They also feature detachable inner lids. This is a great thing because it makes cleaning your rice cooker after use so much easier.

If you would like to purchase either a Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 or NS-DAC10 you can find the lowest prices online at Amazon. They are a safe place to order from and typically provide a speedy delivery.
